2026 Winter Game Day (1/17)

Join us for a wondrous day of gaming in mid-January! That’s right, it’s time for [toggle]’s Winter 2026 Game Day. We’ll gather at LCC (2025 S. Goebbert Rd, Arlington Heights) from 11am to 6pm for gaming, camaraderie, and fun. Did I mention fun? Here’s what we have planned:

  • PANDEMIC SURVIVAL tournament
  • Used Game Silent Auction
  • LCC Food Pantry donation drive
  • Door prizes
  • All Day Open Gaming
  • Shared food order

PANDEMIC SURVIVAL TOURNAMENT

Pandemic: Survival is a special mode of Pandemic created by Z-man for tournaments. Players compete in teams of two to win the most quickly or survive the longest. The team that survives the longest gets glory! And probably a prize.

SIGNING UP: You can sign up on the day, but spots are limited, so email info@togglegaming.com before the tournament to secure a spot. If you have a partner, tell us their name too. If you need a partner, tell us that and we’ll find you one.

USED GAME SILENT AUCTION

Do you have some games it’s time to let go of? Bring them to our event and participate in the Silent Auction! We ask for a small donation if your game sells. You win! [toggle] wins! I lose. Mostly because I’m bad at games.

  • Bring your games early in the day, get our forms to mark the prices
  • Bid on other peoples’ games.
  • Settle up at 5pm.

See the SILENT AUCTION page for more details.

Donation Drive for LCC Food Pantry

Our hosts, the Lutheran Church of the Cross, run a food pantry in the same space where we play. (That’s what all those boxes in the background of some photos are!) If you can swing it, we would love to be able to give them an extra donation at the end of the day.

We’re especially looking for cash donations, so they can buy what they need (and also, food pantries can often make more efficient use of funds than individual consumers can), and diapers. Government food assistance programs do not allow people to buy diapers with those funds, so these are especially needed.

Bring your donation with you on January 17th, or on Wednesday game night, January 14th.

DOOR PRIZES

As we often do at large events like this, [toggle] will have some door prizes. We’ll give you a ticket when you come in the door, and you might win something fun.

ALL DAY OPEN GAMING

Of course, we’ll have our full library of 400+ games available for play. This is a great time to bust out one of those longer games you don’t get a chance to play during our weekly meetups. Will you be the next Game of Thrones? Oh wait, that doesn’t make sense. Will you Iron the Throne? No. Ack.

SHARED FOOD ORDER; FOOD AVAILABLE

As usual we will have our snacks and sodas available for purchase. We will also arrange for a shared food order (something like pizza or sub sandwiches), so be ready for that. Feel free to bring food (to eat or share) too. We may have a treat too.

See you on the 17th!
