It all started two days before Thanksgiving. That’s a Tuesday, just before Thanksgiving, at 6pm. My friends and I went up to visit Nellie at the restaurant, but Nellie doesn’t live in the restaurant because she’s not a person. The games are upstairs, above the concert venue. Played up there, they got a lot of room for games. Havin’ all that room, seein’ as how they brought up all the games, they decided that they’d let us play games up there.
We got up there, we found all the games in there, and we decided it’d be a friendly gesture for us to take the games off the shelf and play them. So we took the half-thousand games, got them off the shelves, took dice and cards and cubes and resources and headed for the game tables.
Well we got there and there was a big sign and a light to use saying “Players wanted.” And we had never heard of a players wanted sign before, and with tears of gratitude in our eyes we set up the game, looking for another player to play the game with.
We didn’t find one. Until we asked someone standing around, and off the side of the room there was a gamer without a game to play, and a big pile of games they’d brought with them. And we decided that one big pile is better than two little piles, so rather than put ours away, we set ours next to theirs.
That’s what we did, and sat down at the table, played some thanksgiving games that couldn’t be beat, and went home about 11pm.
