On the second Wednesday of even months, toggle partakes in that classic midwest tradition, the potluck! Bring a dish to share, and your appetite! Then game all night. The fun starts at 6pm and goes until 11pm at LCC (2025 S Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights). Join us, won’t you?
Limited Run of spooky toggle tees
We’re trying a new t-shirt production process — using high-quality iron ons, fast turnaround, and tiny runs. Our first batch is going to be spooky season shirts. You can order them this week (10/14) or next week (10/21) and we’ll have them for you on the 28th.
Here’s the design (mostly finalized, but may get tweaked a little):
We’re thinking $15, which will cover the costs of shirts and materials and a little donation to toggle.
On the Table
Recently at toggle, we’ve played Betrayal at House on the Hill; Camp Grizzly; The Lord of the Rings; Halloween; Wingspan; Bark Avenue; Roll Player; and more!
Upcoming Special Event Nights:
Some weeks, we do something special in addition to our usual open gaming, fun movies, and more.
- Bi-monthly Potluck (10/14) – This week!
- October Birthday Celebration (10/21) – If you were born in the spookiest month among gravestones and tiny candy, this is the day to delight in you! Join us.
- New Member Welcome Night (11/4) – New members are always welcome at toggle, but we’re going to try and be a bit more gregarious on the first Wednesday of each month — a bit more likely to stay in short games people can join easily, a bit quicker to hop up and say hi, and so on. We also encourage you to bring new members on this week in particular. We’ll also offer a free soda and snack to new members and to the toggler who brought them.
Do you have an idea for a special toggle night? Let us know what you’re thinking about!
Things to Expect at Toggle Gaming:
- A Huge library – try games from our library of 400+ titles or bring your own!
- Bring Food and Drinks – Our host, LCC, allows us to bring whatever food and drink we like, as long as we clean up after ourselves. Sometimes we arrange specific food events (see above for details).
- A Welcoming Environment – We at [toggle Gaming] welcome anyone and everyone to our game table. Whether you’re new to the hobby or a die-hard grognard, we’d love for you to join us!
- Designers ahoy – We have quite a few designers who come to [toggle Gaming] with prototypes to try. Maybe you’ll play the next CANVAS in prototype form!
Planning your evening:
Feel free to come as you are and jump into games on the fly, or head over to our Facebook Community page to see what people are planning to play next week. Maybe even add your own game to the list!
