Tabletop Tuesday: The 23 Enigma (5/23)
When I was a kid, my buddy Nate was a little obsessed with the number 23. He called it his favorite number, and would point it out every time it appeared. I’ve since learned that 23 has significance in some occult and mystical literary works; in these works, 23 is considered lucky, unlucky, sinister, strange, sacred to the goddess Eris, or sacred to the unholy gods of the Cthulhu Mythos. This confluence of ideas, sometimes called the “23 Enigma” came to mind as I noticed that tomorrow is May 23rd. So, barring any eikositriophobia in your party, venture out to Nellies from 6pm-11pm to join us for games and whatever other mysteries the evening shall reveal!
Tabletop Tuesday: Wouldn’t it be nice to play some games? (16 May)
When I say “16th of May” to you, what do you think of? Maybe you think of 1986, when Tom Cruise was blowing up box office numbers in his brand new movie Top Gun. Or maybe 1966, when the Beach Boys’ masterwork Pet Sounds dropped. Or perhaps you don your sparkly pants to celebrate Liberace’s birthday. Me, I remember that it’s a Tuesday, and it’s time to head over to Nellie’s from 6-11 for game night. Join us, won’t you?
Tabletop Tuesday: May we interest you in a game? (5/2)

Tabletop Tuesday: A Double-Helix of fun! (4/25)
Today in 1953, James Watson and Francis Crick (relying heavily on work done by Rosalind Franklin and others), published the article revealing the double-helix nature of DNA, that pesky molecule that carries our genetic data. What better way to celebrate this discovery than to engage in the most human of activities: play. That’s right–the pre-eminent scientists of the 20th century demand it. Come out ant play games at Nellie’s in Palatine from 6-11pm on Tuesday 4/25.
