CANCELED: Tabletop Tuesday at Nellie’s, 19 April 2022

Tabletop Tuesday is canceled this week, 19 April

We’ve just received last-minute notice that Nellie’s has a space conflict and we will not be able to have Tabletop Tuesday this week.

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience. If you are in contact with anyone who you know was planning to come, please spread the message.

We are also starting to look at other venues so we have a backup available for situations like this. In the past we’ve used the American Legion, but we haven’t been there since before the pandemic started, so we don’t have the procedures in place for a fast location change.

See you next week, on the 26th.

[toggle Gaming] presents: Tabletop Tuesday! Hot dog, we’re halfway through April. You know what they always say about April 19th — it’s a great day to get out and play some games. Come join us at Nellie’s Gastropub from 6pm to 11pm to do just that. You’ll love it!

What will you play next?

COVID SAFETY GUIDELINES

[toggle Gaming] encourages attendees to follow local, state, and federal guidelines for gathering safely. At present masks are optional but absolutely welcome.

LOTS OF GREAT GAMES!

Bring your own games or use our library. We have over 400 games for you to use, or you can bring your own! Each week, we meet at Nellie’s to play all sorts of different games. Recently we’ve had a great time, playing games of The Resistance, ROOT, Veiled Fate, Monopoly, So Clover, La Boca, and more!

So many games, so little time!

DESIGNERS WELCOME!

Tabletop Tuesday events have often played host to designers of all stripes, with games at all levels of development. If you’re going to bring a prototype to test, you should also plan to play games with other people as well, trading tests for tests.

PLAY ALL EVENING

Did the THUNDERBIRDS save the world?

We start at 6pm and go until 11pm. But you don’t need to be there the whole time. Arrive when you like, leave when you want. If you’re hoping to play something specific–especially something “heavier” that might take a little preparation–head over to our Facebook page to pre-arrange your game. Nellie’s has a lovely patio you can use for outside play when the weather is pleasant.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

These folks are getting to the ROOT of the problem.

While [toggle Gaming] is an adult event held at a bar, feel welcome to bring your children with you. Our library has many family friendly games, and we regularly welcome younger gamers to the table.

Come by, grab a pint, roll some dice, play some cards, collect some cubes, watch some flicks, see familiar faces, and make new friends.

If you’re a member of Chicago Game Lovers (http://www.meetup.com/chicagogames/) as well; be sure to RSVP to the meetup there as well so we can tell the members there how much fun we have!

[toggle Gaming] is proud to be sponsored by XYZ Game Labs.
