There’s an oft-repeated notion, in English of a “Chinese” ‘curse’ – May you live in interesting times. Folks who study such things tell us this is apocryphal — it’s an English idea wrapped in the idea of Chinese culture. Apparently the closest version of such a saying, in Chinese culture, is Better to be a dog in times of tranquility than a human in times of chaos. Well we at toggle offer our own saying, not a curse but a blessing and a hope: May you play interesting games. And since it’s the end of May, now’s your chance!
