Tabletop Tuesday at Nellie’s, 10 May 2022

[toggle Gaming] presents: Tabletop Tuesday! Mark my melody! Many mighty malcontents and miscreants malign the merry month of May. Malarky, we at toggle gaming say! Our members master multitudes of mechanisms, making the most of Manhattan Projects and Mind MGMT. In other words, we love playing games in May! Join us at Nellies from 6pm to 11pm this coming Tuesday. It will be … MAGNIFICENT.

This ain’t no race, it’s Roll for the Galaxy

[toggle Gaming] encourages attendees to follow local, state, and federal guidelines for gathering safely. At present masks are optional but absolutely welcome.

Bring your own games or use our library. We have over 400 games for you to use, or you can bring your own! Each week, we meet at Nellie’s to play all sorts of different games. Recently we’ve had a great time, playing games of Barrage, Mission to Planet Hexx!, Roll for the Galaxy, Pandemic, Happy Salmon, Night of the Ninja, Golem, and more!

Just a few of the games we played last week.

Tabletop Tuesday events have often played host to designers of all stripes, with games at all levels of development. Last week we had the pleasure of hosting Nate Linhart, who brought his new game from one of our favorite publishers, Thunderworks Games: Tenpenny Parks. Thanks for bringing it, Nate!

Tenpenny Parks, being taught by the designer, Nate Linhart!

We start at 6pm and go until 11pm. But you don’t need to be there the whole time. Arrive when you like, leave when you want. If you’re hoping to play something specific–especially something “heavier” that might take a little preparation–consider heading over to our Facebook page to pre-arrange your game. Nellie’s has a lovely patio you can use for outside play when the weather is pleasant.

Will you keep control of your Golem?

Special thanks to Move Rate 20 games for their generous donation of Mission to Planet Hexx to the toggle Gaming library. Mission to Planet Hexx is a highly-interactive space exploration game in which players seek out new planets, collect data from them, and build their own archive of discoveries. With a short play time of 30-40 minutes and a host of different cards with unique effects, a limitless vista of space exploration awaits you! Try it out sometime soon!

Happy Salmon! Happy Salmon!

While [toggle Gaming] is an adult event held at a bar, feel welcome to bring your children with you. Our library has many family friendly games, and we regularly welcome younger gamers to the table.

Come by, grab a pint, roll some dice, play some cards, collect some cubes, watch some flicks, see familiar faces, and make new friends.

If you’re a member of Chicago Game Lovers ( as well; be sure to RSVP to the meetup there as well so we can tell the members there how much fun we have!

[toggle Gaming] is proud to be sponsored by XYZ Game Labs.
